Acting Principal - Marcia Waters

Marcia Waters

Marcia Waters began her teaching career in 1999, after graduating from Charles Sturt University, Albury. She worked at Shepparton East Primary School until part way through 2009, when she changed to Orrvale Primary School as a Leading Teacher. Marcia became the Numeracy co-ordinator at Orrvale Primary School, to increase her knowledge in this area, she achieved her Masters of Numeracy through the University of Melbourne.

Marcia has two children, Angelina 12 years and Baden 10 years; both attend Orrvale Primary School. She enjoys watching sports, including those her children play.

If she won lotto, Marcia would travel the world to watch Iconic sporting events such as the Olympics, Tennis Grand Slams and the Ashes at Lords.

Marcia supports the Adelaide Crows in the AFL and loves watching Australia in Test Cricket.

Joinor School - Katherine Hallam

Katherine is an experienced Prep / 1 teacher having taught for most of the past 8 years at Undera Primary School in the Junior grades.

Katherine graduated from La Trobe University in 2007.

Katherine is a passionate Essendon member and attends most home games. She is enthusiastic about fitness and goes to the gym in her spare time.

Katherine is also a keen, albeit slow, runner and participates in Parkrun in Shepparton most Saturday mornings.

Katherine is originally from Castlemaine and enjoy heading "home" to catch up with her parents.

Grade 2 / 3 - Maree Johns

Maree Johns

Maree Johns has been teaching for 8 years, last year Maree was a CRT a Katandra West Primary School and with our numbers growing was put on to our permenant staff.

Maree enjoys the Katandra West Staff and pupils and enjoy coming to work each day.

Originally from Nar Nar Goon is Gippsland, completed secondary college in Kyabram and went onto Teachers College. Maree lives in Kyabram.

Maree is a keen horse person and is a member of the Echuca Adult Riding Club and loves having lessons on her horse, Odette. She competes regularly.

Grade 3 / 4 - Callum Thompson

Callum Thompson is a graduate teacher of 2015. He completed his Bachelor of Physical and Health Education at Latrobe University, Bendigo. Callum joined Katandra West Primary School this year teaching Grade 3 / 4.

Callum is the youngest of his family of three, he has an older brother who is also a teacher. His sister is a radiographer currently working in England.

Outside of school, Callum enjoys football, he currently plays of Shepparton East where he is hoping to win back to back premierships this year! Callum also loves exercising in his spare time attending the gym most days of the weeks.

Jedd Wright

Grade 5 / 6 - Jedd Wright

Jedd Wright

Jedd Wright is a graduate teacher of 2012 and joined Katandra West Primary school last year teaching Year 2 / 3. He has now made the change to Year 5 / 6's and is enjoying the change.

Jedd grew up in a big family of seven including four brothers. He married his wife Khloe in 2014 and they have recently had a baby girl named Lilah.

Jedd is a very keen sportsman and has played A Grade cricket for Katandra for the last ten years. He also loves footy and plays at Katamatite Football Club.

Jedd loves fishing and any spare time will see him down the Boosey Creek or heading to the coast to try and catch anything that is willing to be hooked.

Integration Aide - Karen Johnstone

Karen Johnstone has worked at KWPs since 2007 as an Integration / Curriculum Aide. Prior to this she was at Lemnos PS.

Karen is married to Stuart and has two children. Vittoria who is 18, in Year 12 at Wanganui Park SCV and Lachlan aged 16 who is in Year 10 at Wanganui SC.

Karen played netball for 10 consecutive years, however now she is a soccer mum proudly supporting her two children who play soccer for Shepparton South S.C.

Karen has always loved working with children and was employed as a Kindergarten / Child Care Assistant for 7 years prior to having her own children.

Office Staff - Gabrielle Crowe

Gabrielle Crowe

Gabrielle Crowe has worked in the Office for the past 29 years as Business / Office Manager and has been associated with the school since 1977, when the first of her four children started school.

Gabrielle was on School Council as a parent representative and a DEECD representative for 15 years.

Gabrielle loves the work and contact with the school community.

Gabrielle is married to Greg, a local dairy farmer, and is and has been associated with various community groups in Katandra West.

As well as her four children she has 4 precious grandchildren she loves to spoil.

Gabrielle is a long time supporter and member of the North Melbourne Football Club.
